Welcome to the Brooklyn Cookbook Project. I created this blog to accompany a cookbook I made specially for The Sketchbook Project 2012 (touring 2013). I chose the theme "How to Spell and Other Things to Learn" and on the theme of learning I decided to do a book to give people an idea about Chinese food.
This is a series of recipes that I cook often but only transferred from my mind onto paper just for the Sketchbook Project in Brooklyn. I really hope you enjoy the recipes, they conjure fond memories of growing up in HK, then living and travelling in China. All recipes
are designed for 2 people generously, or as a side dish to accompany other
dishes at a meal for more people.
Tastes are different; do feel free to adapt
recipes to your own preference, I’d like to hear what you did with them, so if you have any comments, questions (I’ll do my
best to answer them) and I’ll post photos and stages to illustrate
what things should look like and continue to add them to the recipe pages.
Happy cooking! K x
